The Gentle Zoo, operated by North Texas Animal Connections (NTAC) in Forney, Texas, is a welcoming community-focused animal attraction established in 2011 when the property owners opened their land to rescue animals and public education. The zoo is home to a colorful array of animals including llamas, peacocks, tortoises, emus, goats, kangaroos, coatimundis, capybaras, and more, with many farm animals available to feed and interact with. Beyond animal viewing, the facility features a playground, picnic area, indoor party room, classroom, train ride, and giant maze, and hosts seasonal favorites such as a Pumpkin Patch and Holiday Magic events. A thoughtfully designed sensory tour is available for visitors on the autism spectrum, offered with the support of an Applied Behavior Analysis therapist. The Gentle Zoo provides a nurturing, hands-on environment that brings families and animals together for education, connection, and fun in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
